I need help - and I know one "simple" solution is to not use this software and buy something different - so please avoid recommending that one. So...after I installed PCtools Spyware Doctor with antivirus my computer experienced crashes. I uninstalled PCtools for 10 days, no crashes. Installed it and get crashes every day. I installed BlueScreenView to read the minidump files (I have 23 files and all are almost identical).

Bug check string: Driver_irq_not_less_or_equal
The error code (stop code) for BSOD is - 0x000000d1
Caused by driver: tcpip.sys
Caused by address: tcpip.sys+897a0
ntoskrnl.exe - address in stack: ntoskrnl.exe+ef3d2
tcpip.sys - address in stack: tcpip.sys+897a0

Can anyone help me? PLEASE! The crashes are totall random - I might get one after 5 or 6 hours, or get 2 in 15 minutes regardless of what applications I am using.

I attached my most recent dmp file.
Thanks

I did use MSE when I got the computer and uninstalled it when I installed PCTools. I contacted them twice so far - first time they gave me uninstall/reinstall instructions to see if that would fix the problem. That didn't do anything. I contacted them again and they told me to install some program called 124_pctSysInfo.exe that is supposed to do a dump of info about my computer. That runs in a DOS window - BUT when I tried to run that program (in the DOS window) there were two "errors" listing winsock catalog... access is denied and Pinging su.pctools.com...access is denied.

By the way - thanks for your response. I just joined this forum after spending hours reading BSOD posts!

Did you run that 124_pctSysInfo.exe as Admin?

You need to remove it or contact their customer support for a refund/new fix

PC tools

Sorry for the delay in responding to your posts....I contacted PC tools support and spent a couple of hours in different online support chats to diagnose/fix the problem. They finally sent me an application to generate a log file of all of the processes/dlls, etc. when windows 7 pro boots. I sent them that file almost three weeks ago - still have not heard back from them.

It's disappointing because they seemed to want to fix the problem and told me to send the file to "escalate" the support to a higher level....

IF PCTOOLS ever responds, I'll post back with their recommendations.

so far yowanvista seems have the best advice!

Thanks

PC Tools

Today, the only two computers at work that have PC Tools on them both crashed. I uninstalled PC Tools, did some cleaning, installed Kaspersky, and both running smooth as silk now.
