Hi
I have a strange BSOD Problem.
I turn off my computer at night and every morning it takes two or three restarts to get the computer going from a BSOD Driver IRQL LESS OR NOT EQUAL fault.
Strange thing is if I do a restart once its going it does not do it.
I have had a few random BSODs while its running but they are rare.
Could someone please analyse my logs and come up with suggestions.
Thanks Neil

Hi centaur
I used the SF Diag tool and thought I had everything .
Where are the BSOD Dumps?
I have CC cleaner run at startup would this delete them?
I'll disable CC cleaner tomorrow and try again.
Thanks

For the first time in months it started straight away in the morning without a problem
I'm wondering if CCleaner was deleting something at startup that it should not.
As well as the default items I think Memory Dumps, Chkdisk File Fragments and Windows Log files were being deleted on startup. Also noted Wipe free drive space was ticked for C:drive
Will leave CCleaner turned off at the moment and advise.
If still works will enable it again with deletion of Memory Dumps, Chkdisk File Fragments and Windows Log files disabled. I don't know how wipe free space got enabled,I have never use this at startup.

hmm

Based on the BSOD...it looks like a driver is causing the problem....

Could you disable the ethernet from the device manager and let me know if it bsod's ??

The Usb wireless adapter is only used for the keyboard and mouse the ethernet connects the computer to the modem/router which streams media and internet both wired and wirelessly (802.n) throughout the house.
Its not BSOD every morning since I disabled CCleaner. I'll disable the Ethernet every night and enable it in the morning and report back.If its ethernet related perhaps the wired media player being on or off when the computer boots would make and a difference?I also have a wired in Xbox, another computer a couple of laptops and a smart phone that regularly use the wireless network. However in the morning only the media player could be on with the computer boots.
Thanks for the help
:D

hi

First sorry for a late response...

1. Your bios has update version 0702.. this is a memory compatibility fix.... Update this first..Then check if you still get BSOD

2. If you still do ... then the next step is to do a memtest RAM. Need to do it for at least 6-8 passes...one stick at time.

Let me know how this goes

Thanks centaur78
I discovered and removed about three google updater checks from the task scheduler and enabled CCleaner on start again, since then it has booted first go eveytime, I have had one BSOD today but it was after the computer was going for about ten minutes,I think your right about it being memory related
I have just updated the BIOS will see if that helps.
Hope its not the memory I thought GSkill ripjaws where pretty reliable.
Will see how it goes and let you know
Cheers

Thanks for posting back.... good to hear the problem has been sorted..... but

I would still advice you to do a memtest.. for at least 6 to 8 passes for each ram at each slot..... just to confirm the memories was not bad after all !!!

Used Memtest86 with both sticks in it took 4.5 hours for 3 passes and got only this one fail

Looks like I'll have to check eack stick in each slot
Can I use just test 8 as this is the only test it failed on
Any other tips?
Thanks

Where is the snapshot ??

What tip !! Test 1 stick at any given time for each slot ....

meaning stick1 in slot 1 ... do the test... if no prob

then stick1 in slot2 .... do the test... if no prob

do the same for stick 2... if you get errors in both the slots... then the RAM is the problem... if errors occur in 1 slot... slot is the problem !! :D
