BSOD During Civilization 5

Sorry about that. I wanted to make sure I put my system under load for a good amount of time before declaring things OK. Definitely appreciate the help though :).

I understand, and I am sorry if I came across a bit harsh in my last post. I am happy you have it working again and agree with Steve and Jack that a better PSU would be a good option if you can.

I think I am just going to get the TX650M. If it doesn't fit I will get a new case.

How much would it cost to get a functional case with a simple minimalist look? I don't want to spend anymore than $50.

In that price range, the choices won't have a lot of features and you'll end up having to buy a few fans. But, any if these would work, just make sure it will fit an ATX motherboard. Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Computer Cases, Computer Cases, $25 - $50, computer cases

Also, be sure and find the pin outs for the front panel connections of your current motherboard. Dell is very proprietary about their connections. This is a nice case that gets good reviews Newegg.com - NZXT Source 210 S210-001 Black SECC Steel, ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
This was my first case. It is a nice small size, looks nice and works well, but there is no space behind the motherboard for wiring. Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Newegg.com

I just ordered the PSU TX650M. It will take at least a week to arrive. I Hope it fits.

I will get a new case if needed.

Beyond inadequate power, I say my system is working as it should.

I am not sure what you mean by default/auto. I don't overclock anything.

Could insufficient memory cause a crash?

Did you ever do what was recommended in your thread here?

http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/289313-sm-bus-controller-driver-missing.html

What little information I can find on your motherboard indicates you have 4 slots for memory.
I'm not sure how you come up with 6 gigs of ram.

How many sticks of ram do you have installed and in which slots?

What exactly is the type of ram you are using?

I did install the SM Bus controller driver.

I got the preinstalled dell cheaping out on parts, configuration.

Dell set it up as:
Slot 0 1GB DDR3-1333 Hyundai (they make ram?)
Slot 1 2GB DDR3-1333 Samsung
Slot 2 1GB DDR3-1333 Hyundai
Slot 3 2GB DDR3-1333 Samsung

The Hyundai ram may be Hynix. Different software says differently.

Well putting mismatched ram in a computer is never a good idea.

Lets see how Windows 7 sees your ram. Post one of these.

In post #48 Derek picked up a memory problem.
I personally wouldn't have such ram in a computer.

Also, if you don't have it download CPUz and post screenshots of the mainboard, CPU, Memory and SPD tabs. On the SPD tabs, post a screenshot of each dim slot selected from the dropdown in the top left of the SPD tab.

Very good idea Steve. CPU-Z should give us some great information.

jjim26 could you read through the complete thread and let us know what requests you have completed and which ones you didn't complete?

There is little info on that motherboard except it was made by Asus for Dell.
Who know what Dell has done to the bios or anything else.
What I have found was Asus information and it indicates DDR3 1333/1066
