Could you please edit your specs and make them look properly?

Hi DeanP

THanks for the quick response.

I have re-installed the ATK0110 driver from ASUS, and when I do a search I find 3 instances of the file: ASACPI.sys below. I have tried to cut and paste the ASACPI.sys file dated 14.May.2009 to overwrite the file dated 29.March.2005 but I need permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this file?

Should I have 3 of these files with the same name? if not the how do I change the files and get SYSTEM permission?

C:\Windows\System32\drivers (created 14.May.2009)

C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\asacpi.inf_amd64_neutral_a7ca2c2f114f9353 (created 14.May.2009)

C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\atk2000.inf_amd64_neutral_a91abe245a6c41c8 (created 29.March.2005)

thxs!

Folks,

First of all I would like to thank all the contributors who tried to helpsolve my problems, and wanted to close off this thread formally and let all those interested in waht I did to solve the proble.

1. Changed Bios settings for intel i7 core processor speed from default 'Auto' setting and input manually the correct speed setting
2. Changed the Memory speed settings from 'Auto' to correct speed settings for my Crucial memory manually
3. Upgraded to MS internet explorer 9 (offical release)

Basically all of the BSOD's and freezes have gone away!!
Before any one asks...I cant tell you if only one of the changes is necessary, all I can tell you is I am back working again.

Thanks to you all and Sevenforums!!!!!!!!

Best regards

Leo
