Hi There!

I have a new PC from an online Audio-Shop, and have problems when installing my external Soundcard.
The Pc works fine untill i Plug-In the usb cable of the Soundcard.
After i have plugged in the usb Cable windows search for drivers in windows Update and then the pc crashs.

Here is the information from WhoCrashed:

This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75C40)

This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

Hello marksome.

For a desktop PC, hibernate is not needed .... if it is enabled, disable it.

Also disable USB selective Suspend.

The problems I am seeing here are related to USB mainly.

say, VIA Labs eXtensible Host Controller driver
Code:
ReadMemory error: Cannot get nt!KeMaximumIncrement value.

Try to update it from VIA Labs, Inc. - VIA Labs Collaborates with American Megatrends to Deliver xHCI Compliant UEFI Support for the VL800 USB 3.0 Host Controller.

And, Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver

I have a home recording studio (using Sonar X2). Did you install the Focusrite software first? That is normally the procedure. Install the software and then connect the device.

Also, have you tried a different USB port on the PC? The Focusrite's are USB 2.0 devices. Which Focusrite device do you have? e.g. one of the Scarlett USB devices?

I have basically the same motherboard GAZ77X UD5H.

Firebred, here the issue is not with the single driver or a single device. A stop 0x44 occurs when two different drivers try to deal with a single IO request packate at once. One successes and the other fails, which causes the BSOD.

So we cannot say that it is anyhow a problem of a single driver or its installation procedure, though it might be said that if one is not there, the problem is expected to not exist.

It is difficult to get the fact out that which one is actually failed..... and driver updates may make the situation better.

Yeah, just throwing out what I've found myself, and from some of the recording forums I visit.

I find Focusrite, generally, to be no problem installing although I have seen some reports of problems getting the Scarlett line to install.

We'll see after he gets the controller drivers reinstalled.

Many times on install failures, I will do a System Restore back to before the first attempt at installing. This gives a "fresh start" and then the device installs. System Restore is my favorite trick and makes me look like "super tech" to my clients. :D

Hey Guys!

Happyli i can now say we have solved the problem!!! Thank you all for your inputs on this!
I reinstalled the driver again, and the driver from the soundcard produced 2 instances of driver setup.
I deleted one in the remove programs section and the i was able to install it without crashing... Man man man ...

Thanks!!
