BSOD mostly occuring when playing Borderlands 2 or League of Legends

Will the Microsoft program protect me as well as ESET does? Sorry if it sounds like I'm skeptical, but how is ESET causing the problems?

Apparently Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't protect well.

Hi,

ESET is showing in your logs as the probable cause of your BSOD's as in #20

MSE is recommended for BSOD issues and is a good AV, I use it on all my computers
and it has protected me well, as it does with many other people.

Perhaps you could try uninstalling ESET and then download the latest version and reinstall,
then see if your issue remains, if it does then try MSE:

You could try :ar: Avast, but I personally wouldn't recommend Norton or Mcafee as they
cause system wide lag and are known for BSOD.

I can only advise, it is up to you what you want to do, but removing ESET I believe
is the way forward in this case, regardless.

Okay, I'll try it. But it might take up to two weeks before I know for sure that it hasnt BSOD on me. Do I start a new thread after the 2 weeeks?

You could keep this thread open until you feel the issue has been fixed .

Also, desktop manager crashes frequently and says "desktop manager has stopped working and has to close"

Go to Services look for Desktop Windows Manager Service see if Startup type is Automatic

Open up a run window by pressing rb: and the R letter on your keyboard type in services.msc and press [ENTER]

It says its Automatic. When I press enter nothing happens besides the window popping up again

Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on rb: in

type CMD . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose

. On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command Prompt opens up to C:\Windows\System32>_

Inside the command prompt type in

SFC /scannow and press enter

There is a space between C and the slash

So I was playing borderlands again and the screen just went black and made the weird sound. I then tried to ctrl+alt+del out so I didnt see a blue screen or anythign but my computer restarted really fast right after. Here is the crash report? Should I uninstall ESET now?

Yes please remove ESET as suggested in #20
Then install whichever AV program you decided on, update and run a full system scan.

STOP 0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Usual causes: Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint with no debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, Memory, 3rd party remote control,

The latest crash blames your Graphics drivers:

Refers to: Nividia Video drivers

As you have the latest driver installed, please follow this tutorial and roll back your
driver to the previous version:

Also you will have to disable the Nividia Update program or else it will
just install the latest driver again at some point and you will crash again.

If you carry out the following, it will also disable the Nvidia Updater and free the start up:

Free up the startup/Disable Startup Programs:

Click on the Start button
Type msconfig, click the resulting link.
It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Click the "Services" tab, click the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box, then click Disable All.
Click OK, then restart the computer.

I also noticed this driver, it is installed twice and needs uninstalled:

To uninstall use:

Revo Uninstaller

Download and install Revo Uninstaller free from here: Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

Opt for "Advanced Mode" and uninstall the software (also delete the leftover registry entries).

These are the programs your looking to uninstall if present on the system,
the first 2 are:

AMD Catalyst Software
Easytunes
AMD Overdrive

How do I opt for advanced mode? Just got another blue screen. It was too fast so i didnt get time to take the picture the the error was like 019 or something. Here is the crash report.
