BSOD mostly occuring when playing Borderlands 2 or League of Legends

Sorry it took me so long to respond but I was on vacation for a while there. I can't find the driver listed there when I go to that directory. Here's a pic, and as you can see its not listed there.

The only way I could find the file was through here and these were my only options given. It would not let me re-name the file as you can see.

Ok, how has the computer been? Is it still crashing?
Run the SF tool again if you experience another crash.

cheers

I haven't got the BSOD yet but when I am playing games sometime my computer will make a weird sound (sort of like a virtual crunching sound if that makes sense) and then the game would crash and either make me close it or it will start back where i left off after 20 seconds and perform extremely poorly. i.e the frames drop down. Whats wrong?

Hi,

Hmmm virtual crunching!! That sounds painful. :)

Has it reoccurred? Is this sound coming through the speakers or...?

Cheers

Faulting Driver: nvlddmkm.sys
Refers to: Nvidia Graphics driver

Download and install this stable driver: :ar: Drivers | GeForce

Then disable the Nvidia updater:

1. Press "Win key + R" combination to open the Run search box.
2. Type msconfig and click OK.
3. The System Configuration window will open
4. Select Start up Tab and uncheck any Nvidia update programs present, click Apply.
5. Select the Services Tab, and check the "Hide all Microsoft Services"
6. Uncheck any Nvidia Corporation boxes, click Apply then OK, reboot.

This will stop Nvidia from updating the driver to the lateset version, which is buggy.

cheers
Dave
