Hi Guys,

I am pulling my hair out with this one. Everytime I put my computer to sleep and then wake it again, I get the logon screen, then about 5 seconds after pressing logon i get the BSOD. I have tried reformatting drive and reinstalling everything fresh but the same thing.

Can anyone help me out?

thanks

Hello,

It seems hardware is the most likely cause for these; try running SeaTools: SeaTools for Windows | Seagate

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the reply.

I downloaded seatools and ran the long generic tests and the drives passed.

Should I be doing anything else?

thanks

Did you install the SSD yourself, or did it come with the laptop? If you installed it yourself, try replacing it with the original disk drive, as the OCZ Vertex 3 series drivers are known to cause BSODs.

One thing you can try is taking the SSD to another machine and flashing the latest firmware version. Can be found here: OCZ Technology

FIXED FIXED FIXED FIXED FIXED!!!!!

Ok, so after countless weeks installing and uninstalling windows, swapping over hard drives, reformatting, downloading millions of versions of drivers for every bit of hardware, installing programs one by one and testing, then uninstalling one by one and testing! I finally did not have any problems after waking from sleep!!!

I had no idea what the problem was...until I just realised that my computer was not running as fast as it should. Checked the power settings and it was running as "balanced", i switched it over to "high performance" and put it to sleep, woke it up and BSOD!!

So, I went through the high performance options and changed them all to match "balanced" but still got the BSOD! ??

So, what I have had to do it just put my brightness up on "balanced" and the minimum processor power to 100% on battery and voila! FIXED!

SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!

Hope this helps someone!
