So before even turning the computer on today...
-I removed and re-seated all cables (power cables, sata cables, etc) and the RAM in their slots.
-Start-up gives BSOD.
-Go to safe mode w/ networking.
-Start backing up my data (cause I'm considering a format pretty soon here).
-Reboot system... normal mode works just fine once again.
-Virus scans with Hitman Pro, TDSS Killer & Windows Defender Offline all come back 100% clean (I do not run a "full" real-time virus software)
-I've confirmed my SSD has the latest firmware and my MOBO is also running the latest BIOS.
-A chkdsk /f/r comes back with no errors detected.
Can I run SeaTools, even though I don't have a Seagate drive?
Any other suggestions before I format? Should I rollback to a prior BIOS firmware? Any thing I can do to test my SSD? I've ran MemTest86 for RAM, no errors thru multiple passes.
And why, once I get back into my desktop, can I run for hours (Battlefield 3, other high end games, surfing websites etc) with no crashes... but if it starts up after a length (few hours, etc) of time being turned off, that's when this occurs? It's so frustrating and confusing.
Thanks.
