The attached .dmp files show that BSOD has appeared several times in the last several weeks. But restarting to full capability has been no problem.

Hi,

You need to update to the latest drivers for your Marvell MV91xx AHCI/RAID stuff.
Code:

Then run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Get the latest drivers for Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC.

Delete remnants of older drivers using Driver Sweeper

Kaspersky is also contributing in these BSODs, please uninstall it completely and replace with MSE.

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.
Free up your start-up, keep nothing except the antivirus.

Thanks for your suggestions KK. Using them I subsequently upgraded both the Marvel and Realtek drivers, uninstalled Kaspersky replacing it with AVG, then did a Diskcheck. But I was stumped by Driver Sweeper that removed important drivers which (after another BSOD) necessarily forced me to twice run System Restore. I have uploaded the next Diagnostic file for your bedtime reading.

Do you have an SSD by any chance? If yes, get the latest firmware for it.

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using crystal disk info:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it: (again)
Hard drive test both short and long with:
Also the DOS version of:

I do not have a SSD.
I have run the full dskchk.exe a second time to fix any errors.
I could not run Sea Tools because its installation is continually stopped by a Fatal Error that states “Installation ended prematurely because of an error”.
I have run Malwarebytes and no malicious files were found.
Using different browsers, I have tried to update all drivers through Driver Agent, but I get a window that stops the Driver Agent download from installing because of an “Access Violation” window which is the same in each browser. A few drivers have been earlier updated.
I have attached the Crystal Disk Info screens.
I have also uploaded the latest log files.
Computer continues to run OK outwardly.

Dump of 29th shows problems with the marvel drivers yet again and lot of ntfs errors. Did you update the marvel drivers?

Edit: Does look like you updated them.

Does disk check show errors were fixed or something? Can you upload a screen shot of the results?

Gone But Forgotten

How can I send a log of what dskchk.exe found or corrected?

Unfortunately I'll be on the road and away from my desktop for about two weeks. But I'll pick up this problem when I return. Many thanks for your help to date!

Baaaack...

I'm back and have been online without incident for a few days. But you likely want a fresh assessment of where we are:

I have updated the requested drivers (trying several times) yet they don't display as installed after a DriverAgent scan. This includes:

1. The Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B34/3B3C
2. The Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family 2/4 Port Serial ATA Storage Controller - 3B26/3B20
3. Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (Disabling then reinstalling this through Device Manager did nothing to clear the yellow flag. I also tried to install from the link at ASUS provided by Anthony, but received the message that "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements..." so it was not installed. Odd. One thing to note: the driver installation says that it has not been installed because it is for a 32bit rather than 64 bit computer. But I have seen this issue before; it is mentioned on the website, and I am told to ignore it. OK. Why this isn't fixed, I don't know.

I tried to run Seatools both as a download and as DOS using a CD Burn (even in SAFE mode and turning off AVG anti-virus) but I always received an error and notice of premature ending: 0x800040005.

I have attached the diagnostic files and Crystal Disk screens. I've reviewed them but, although I see errors, I'm too dumb to read them correctly. I have also run another Disk Check correcting other issues and I will post that as well.

The last dump file is of 10.29.12, did you get more blue screens after that?

Apparently Resolved

I have had no other BSODs so my issue is apparently resolved. There are other performance and maintenance issues. But I see a number of Seven Forums tutorials to deal with those. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the update.

If you have any BSOD problems again post on this thread or create a new thread and link this one on it. :) Good luck.
