Good day

Recently (and i would say in the last month) i have been getting very random blue screen/lockups while playing Diablo 3.

The most common lockup being the black screen issue where i have to shut down and restart my pc.
The lockup can occur after 1 hour of gameplay or 4 hours so it is difficult o predict.
Unfortunately there are no obvious clues as to what the cause is i have only had 3/4 instances in the last month. Before that i had no such issues and when it first happened last month i passed it off as a once-off but unfotunately with there being more occurences i started thinking of other issues that might be affecting it.

Its highly unlikely that its an overheating problem, im using MSI Afterburner in conjunction with HWinfo to monitor GPU and CPU temperatures. Temperatures for the GPU range from 70-75 degrees Centigrade and for the CPU 60-65 degrees centigrade while playing. For comparison i also play Assassins Creed 4 and that has never had any issues whatsoever.

Ive used other diagnostic tools such as Seagate Tools, Memtest86, OCCTand CrystalDiskInfo to name but a few. Nothing at all points to the CPU or GPU overheating as far as i can tell.

These problems i have been having are few and far between but have all happened in the last month so there is a small cause of concern.

I have attached all the relevant info. If anyone could assist where applicable i would be most grateful.

Kind regards

First file (dxgkrnl.sys) is a directx file and the second one
(nvlddmkm.sys) is a nvidia driver file...the problem it is in these 2 files. Try to install the original driver for the graphic card from the CD and dont upgrade to the new drivers.

Hi there

Thank you for that i have done so and will continue to monitor if anything goes wrong again, unfortuantely because its so random if/when it happens that could be in another month!

I have re-did the memtest overnight and went through 7 passes with no errors. I wanted to atleast rule out one component.
