I just bought a new SSD and did a fresh install window 7. After various updates, was thinking that the system is up to date and ready to go, I installed games. Got the BSOD right at the first try.

The prob seems to appear when I play games like Battle Field 3 or Guild Wars. Games like Hero of Newerth or Dota 2 wont cause the issue.

Hi Arc,

Thanks for your reply,

I just did what you recommended. Start playing BF3 first and then Guild Wars 2. I can only play for 5 mins or so each game then it stop. This time no BSOD but there was no responding error for BF3 and for GW2 it was error message sending to the game publisher.

I did a restart to make sure things are ok after the uninstall. I started again with BF3 but this time it was BSOD after 5mins. Below are the error and the minidump created.

Thks again Arc,

I did what you told me to do. Delete the old driver, got into safe mode and run driver fusion (I choose the 3 options with the title NVidia only). Reboot and got back to normal window, downloaded and installed the driver 306.23 64bit for my graphic card. Turned on the Driver Verifier and restarted.

This time things got a bit better, I could play BF3 for 20 mins or so and then I got BSOD again. I also played some Dota 2 games, nothing happened, guess this issue only appear when playing games required the graphic card to work hard :(

Below is the error rar file for this time.

Thanks for helping me until now !

I recently check for window update and found this in optional window update.

nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Other hardware - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

Update type: Optional

nVidia Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Other hardware software update released in October, 2012

Should I update this and play some games, then tell you the result ?

Definitely. Update it.

As it is crashing in a particular game only, enter into that game's settings, and change the priority settings etc to either lower or normal.

BTW, how old the graphics card is?

I built this PC last year, bought all the components together, so that would be slightly more than 1 year old.

Everything had been working fine until i bought the SSD and re-installed Window into the SSD.

I updated the optional one, it was the version 306.97 for graphic card.

Ok this time i tried Guild Wars 2, no more BF3. I Got into the game, weird thing was that I could see through the ground. Guess that something bad was gonna happen soon and yes BSOD again. This time it's something relating to pages fault.

Below is the error rar file for this time.

Please tell me there is nothing wrong with other part of the system or anything to do with the hardware. The graphic driver itself is such a painful until now.

Still display driver crashed.

Download and install the latest 310.33 beta driver as a test. Also stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

I have good news,

I updated my BIOS last night and run my PC as I normally do. Everything works fine now, no more BSOD in any games I play or any programs so far.

Thanks for helping me Arc ! I appreciate that :)
