BSOD PLaying League of Legends error code 0x0000001e a common code

Hi Wolfglar,

Good work , I suggest you download and run Malwarebytes, just to check for any malware also:

Download

   Note
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes, deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan once downloaded, installed and updated.

How is the system now?

Cheers

Dave

Hello,

Ty for the help Jacee with my security issues. Unfortunately while I was running the Eset Online Scan I had a bsod occur. I restarted the Scan then left room for a while; the scan probably finished but another bsod occured . I have checked to make sure I have all windows updates and have downloaded and installed

I also ran sfc /scannow and have found a couple files that are corrupted and haven't been able to repair them: C:\Windows\SysWOW64"\[l:20{10}]"dfshim.dll and C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd"\[l:22{11}]"basebrd.dll. I will try again to get you results from the Eset Online Scan. Thank you

Hi Wolfgar,

The BSOD was caused by MSE, probably a conflict with ESET of sorts.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling MSE, then try ESET again..thanks.

Hello,

I checked and I did have the correct version. So I did some digging, and I found files from 4 different versions of display drivers. So I uninstalled everything nvidia related, used driver sweeper 3 times until it was clean, then reinstalled the display driver 314.22, and nforce 15.56 driver. So hopefully what caused the bsod was a conflict between the driver's files. I will check in again soon, and look forwarding to marking this as solved :D

Hi Wolfgar,

Thanks for the feedback and nice work with the drivers, I was going to suggest
clearing out any old drivers next, so that's cool :)

To recap:

We know the PCIe slots are okay, and your other Geforce 9500 GT
graphics card worked fine, and I take it your RAM is fine? Did you re-check with memtest?

So if the stable 314.22 driver fails then I would say your Geforce 630 GT has a possible intermittent fault and is failing.

Look forward to your next reply

Cheers

Dave

Hi,

I had a feeling that would be the result. :( Memtest is unlikely to be wrong.
Sounds like PC Direct skirted around the issue by dropping the RAM voltage.

What is your memory configuration, 4GB x4? Dual Channel? Check it
is correct with manufacturers instructions.

You need to swap the sticks out as in the :ar: memtest tutorial: Part 3: If you have errors
This will determine any bad sticks and any bad slots.

Alternatively return to the shop, and inform them the RAM failed memtest on 4 sticks!! with same error!!
and ask them to replace either the RAM and/or the Motherboard as their solution to drop the
RAM voltage failed to fix the issue. :D

Have you tried just using one stick on RAM to see if the issue persists?

cheers

Dave
