BSOD Random Crashes with DVDFab

PC fault finding is pretty new to me so I need help detecting and fixing.

Random crashes when using DVDFab. I've unistalled the two applications that were put on prior to these problems Sim City 4 and Nokia OVI suite. Still having issues.
PC will crash while DVDFab is running, it flashes a blue screen with info on what could be the problem. It flashes to quickly to get a detailed list of what it says but part of it mentions "Disable Bios memory options such as cacheing or......."

When the PC reboots i get this info

I try the "search for a solution" button but the window just disappears with no result.

Sorry, I don't know how to do what you asked. Computers are pretty new to me.
it will take me a little bit to work it out so please be patient.

i was able to update Logitech and netgear. I don't have a clue how to do the silicon image ones or the pcouffin.sys

I don't know what they relate to.

can you point me in the right direction?

The results are low level access layer for CD devices (A part of many different CD/DVD burning programs) VSO Software:Â Video Converter and Burning Software

Do this with all the drivers and update whatever is possible.

I don't use VSO software, i may have to get rid of the pcouffin. I use DVDFab by fentago. would they use similar drivers?

As for all the other ones that link to silicone image, i don't know what to update. give me a while I'll eventually work it out. Once i have do you want me to run another NT6 and system health, or sould i just try and see if it crashes by running DVDFab?

I updated what i could. Still don't know what to relate VSO and Silicone Image drivers so I didn't do them.
Ran DVDFab again and it crashed.
Here's my Reports again.

May It have something to do with my RAM. I ran DVDFab in safe mode and it didn't crash.

Completely uninstall dvdfap,reinstall the most recent version.



Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
You may need to run it 2-3 times to "fix" everything.



Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Leave it to run overnight if possible.



Post back the results.

scannow 3X passes no issues on all three occasions

Mem test 8X passes no issues on all 8

Uninstalled DVDFab and updated

Updated VLC

Updated adobe

tried to get windows to see if any drivers needed updating and it says that everything is up to date.

Still can't figure out what those other drivers you wanted me to update relate to.

Is there any other APP that i can run so you can have a better look at my system?
anything that helps.

Also added a CPUID CPU-Z so you can have a better look at what i've got.

updated my video card driver, i think it may have fixed the problem on crashing will using DVDFab. but the kids were watching an avi using VLC Media player and the PC crashed.

Going to do some more testing tonight will then post the results.

Uninstall avast from your system,restart.



Then run this to remove any remaining fragments avast-clean



Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials

Changed my anti virus

Still crashes

In the crash it said something like a driver has overran a buffer ?????? or something to that effect. It flashes up so quick I don't get a very good chance to read it.

No specific causes are being pointed out.

Run Driver Verifier and upload any dumps which are then created
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
