Actually my (and of some others I know) modus operandi is different. It does not match with my view does not necessarily mean that the view is wrong. There must be some alternative ways to attain a same goal. It is just that the way is unknown to me. It is lack of my knowledge and experience, not your.
What we do is, try to find out the reason behind the crash. And for that we do some alterations in the software environment, some hardware check, etc. I wish your way will be proved as a successful one, and one day we all will follow it.
