BSOD randomly in acer lappy

Hi guys,

My new acer laptop suffer in bsod randomly, but rarely happened during gaming. It happen almost everyday.
Manage to see "power state failure" during the blue screen.
Find out a very weird dump file which is 899mb
Appreciate your expertise in help. Thanks

I bought an Acer laptop 2 weeks ago (V3-571G) and I have exactly the same problem. BSODs with the title DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE caused by nvlddmkm.sys when the laptop is idle or a short time after it was idle. I tried 306.02, 304.79, 295.55 and 296.32, but nothing worked. Hello TheWolfPoP,have you managed to resolve the problem with the BSOD.I am using windows 7 x64 sp1 and i have this problems with the Driver powerstate failure and laptop randomly restarts if it stays idle for to long.Have you found a solution?

Sorry for being late answering you, but i haven't been active on this forum for a while.
Yes, i managed to resolve the BSODs. For me, the solution was Windows 8. Since i installed it, the laptop is working fine, except some minor famous bugs caused by this new Microsoft OS.
Also, if your actual Windows isn't exactly genuine, you could try to change it with one from another "source".

Thanks for the reply,but i managed to figured out how to make it work with Windows 7 X64.After much debugging i have figured out that the problem was with the Kernel of the Windows.This drivers were made by Acer for the newest Kernel that Windows has to offer.In order to not have problems with the drivers you must Update Windows,but not all updates.Search in the update list 2 updated that refer to "Kernel for windows...",there are 2 of them,install them both and you won't have a problem.Hope it helps because i hate Windows 8.
