After moving into a new apartment a few days ago I seem to be randomly getting a BSOD every few hours. The only change I can think of is that I am now using a Linksys SE1500 switch instead of a wireless connection, I attached the needed files but have no idea what the issue might be.

Thanks for your time!

My computer was running a bit slow (I assume because of the driver verifier?) but otherwise no had no problems until I shut down my computer for the night at which point I got another BSOD, with a different error message:

Edit - shut down again, crashed with same error, then got a different error on restart, started in safe mode with networking to get the needed files successfully and disabled driver verifier for now. Only the most recent files are attached.

  • Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
  • Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
  • Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
  • Restart the computer
  • If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.

Motherboard had a tool that looked like it was supposed to update everything -- it changed the last modified date of gdrv.sys at least, I updated it manually now. Updated the audio drivers which required multiple restarts. During shutdown it was fine, but after updating I am still getting a BSOD from the audio driver.

Actually, perhaps I jumped the gun a bit and it wasn't quite finished when I got that last BSOD. I just restarted two more times with no BSODs, so hopefully everything is finally good to go now.

Thanks a ton for all of your help!

Alright, but do update your BIOS to its latest
Observe your computer from now and when you get dumps.. you know where to come.

If you don't have any more crashes..come and mark the thread as solved :)

A little confused/nervous about updating my BIOS, the page for my motherboard model has 4 different revisions and I can't tell if they all share the same BIOS updates or not...all the warnings sound scary too. Here is the model's page if I could get a little extra help: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3 - GA-890FXA-UD5 (rev. 2.0)
