BSOD seemingly at random, possibly Chrome caused

My PC keeps blue screening with seemingly no cause, every time it's a different reason as to why it crashed, so I'm thinking it's hardware, my PC is fully up to date and nothing, as far as I can think, has changed lately to cause it to happen.

I hope someone can help me out, it appears so random as to when it wants to crash, sometimes it will be fine for days and I can do whatever I want, others it crashes every 5-10 minutes. It does seem to happen when I'm browsing the internet, but I'm pretty much always doing that so it could just be coincidental!

Thanks for any helpful advice and responses in advance.

The crash dumps are not containing adequate info, due to some sort of corruption. You should try to minimize some problematic areas at the starting point of the troubleshooting process. Due to lack of info in the dumps, the troubleshooting may take a time, dont get upset please.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

  • Double click to open it.
  • Click this button only:
  • 2012-12-13_224441.jpg
  • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus. You may keep Rainmeter there at most.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the results.

Okay, brilliant, I've uninstalled Daemon Tools, turned off everything except MSE and Rainmeter on start-up, and I ran a memtest a few days ago which didn't show any issues for my RAM.

My PC hasn't blue screened again, so that's good, but I'm not getting my hopes up!

I ran the program again, hopefully this time there's no corruption, I'll attach the folder here.

Thanks for the help so far.
