BSOD Still crashes after a factory reset. Attempt to reset the display

Didn't you have that driver installed from the beginning?

Which is why I asked you to update it.

I suppose we could try it again but I'm not putting any money on it.

Yes...It looked like it. When i removed it like you asked me to...windows did not think an update was needed nor did my display look any different... should I just use it without an amd driver

Have you checked in the optional updates section? It would have been removed if you just installed a driver.

As far as I know it's always recommended to install drivers that are necessary for the system to function properly.

Here is what I did... I think I may have the solution. It is apparent that the original driver worked when I first got the computer and the driver updates are causing the bsod. So i went to the control panel and under my computer..I right clicked and under device setting ..I selected never update drivers without asking... I also installed the current driver. Downloaded the original ati catalyst driver that came with the laptop and ran the appication...restarted the computer and it seems like it is working using the original driver. Cross my fingers
