I have win 7 professional. Have been running MS Access on this machine for over a year. Things were going fine. Then about 2 weeks ago my access program started giving issues and progressively got worse; resulting in system shut down. uninstalled & reinstalled with no effect. Since then, my machine does not need access to cause a crash. It does it on its own without much to drive it. I first replace the RAM from another machine with no change. Then incressed the swap file size - no change/ got worse. installed a new video card (was using on board video) - no help. Installed new PS - no change/ progerssivly getting worse. Swapped out MB (had a spare identical board) - no change/ getting faster with the crashes. Installed new HD as c drive - new win 7 install, new MS office install, new MS Access install. No change the system still crashes!!!! I am going bald because of this! Someone please help.
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to the forum Homike I took a look at the files you provided and it seems that the recurring problem is a video card/video driver problem:

Took a look at your drivers and they are rather old I would check the manufacturers site and see if you can find an update:

Try running furmark to mare sure the hardware isnt damaged and its not over heating:

FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature" (BurnIn test in newer versions).
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

Ok please do the following run:

Code:
chkdsk /f /r

then follow this procedure to reset your page file:

a ) Go to Start...Run...and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
-Then click on the Advanced tab,
-then on the Performance Settings Button,
-then on the next Advanced tab,
-then on the Virtual Memory Change button.
b ) In this window, note down the current settings for your pagefile (so you can restore them later on).
-Then click on the "No paging file" radio button, and
- then on the "Set" button. Be sure, if you have multiple hard drives, that you ensure that the paging file is set to 0 on all of them.
-Click OK to exit the dialogs.
c ) Reboot (this will remove the pagefile from your system)
d ) Then go back in following the directions in step a ) and re-enter the settings that you wrote down in step b ). Follow the steps all the way through (and including) the reboot.
e ) Once you've rebooted this second time, go back in and check to make sure that the settings are as they're supposed to be.

You are very welcome, it sounds like there may have just been something strange going on with your video card, but let us know if you have more problems.
