BSOD/Weird Distorted Crash while playing games or browsing

Howdy folks! In the past few days, I have gotten many BSOD's while browsing the web, playing games, or talking to people on Teamspeak 3. Usually the
BSOD/crash hits me usually an hour in while I'm doing those things in a session. Before I did get BSOD's and crashes but they were few and spread out. I never responded to them because they happened very sparsely. Now that they are very constant, I need to do some action. I have went into safe mode right now and am typing this on another computer. Oh and this problem started Saturday, May 7th 2012.

As for the dmp files, I was a noob and didn't have the option for the BSOD crashes to save dmp files but now that that is enabled, I do have one dmp file that I can share.

Also I have noticed that sometimes that when the computer crashes, the sound becomes very distorted, the screen tears/fuzzes into a static-like image and then it just restarts. I either get this kind of crash or just a simple BSOD. Sometimes, the sound just distorts, I see a black screen and then the PC restarts. Not even a distorted image.

OS- Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit

Things that I have done but to no avail -

- Deleted MSI Afterburner
-Deleted Daemon Tools
-Completed a Memtest86 on my RAM. No errors even after 10 passes.
-Took out the RAM sticks, cleaned and then put back in their sockets.
-Cleaned the computer for dust
-Used Ccleaner to scan for problems and junk.
-Full scan of Malwarebytes. Caught 7 things but still nothing changes.
-Done an SFC /scannow scan
-Downloaded all the major Windows 7 updates.
-chkdsk scan.

Temperatures vary but they tend to stay normal.

CPU average temperature is around 40 C idle.
GPU Temperature is about 40C idle, 50C viewing videos, and and may hit to around 60-65 C while gaming. Fan speed on 55%.

Both RTCORE64.sys (MSI) and asacpi.sys from 2005 and loaded in the only DMP file present.

Those need to be updated before we can do any underlying investigation.

Asacpi.sys

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (not before).

But before I download those mobo drivers for "asacpi.sys", they appear to be for motherboards that aren't my own on the ASUS site. Is this normal?

Also for the other one "RTCORE64", how would I go about updating that one?

Sorry for any noob-like questions but since I am in already in a "screwed up" state with the BSODs, I want to make sure that updating the files goes smoothly.

No worries about the questions. Thats what we are here for, and we all were there at some point.

I believe all the mobos use the same file. RTCORE is only needed if you are overclocking. You can simply rename it to rtcore64.bak so it cant load. If something complains you can change it back.

Alright I believe I have updated the asacpi to 2009.

How would I find the RTCORE by any chance? I cant find it in the drivers folder in system 32.

Possibly both some benefit and some risk in BIOS update. Have you searched for RTCORE64?

Neither do I. Just went to their site and couldnt find any info other than the newest version is from 2011.

Hmm, so no crashes or BSODS as of today D).

I plan on testing this further tomorrow. Though what creeps me out is the fact how even if the issue goes away, it seems to have gone away without me actually doing something. Obviously no positives for sure yet, but still.

Also I did have some weird occurrence happen though. When I exited one of my games, the audio screwed it royally (as if the crash/BSOD was going to happen but didn't). No crash occurred and I had full control over the computer but as long as the PC was on, the sound was still distorted. Only a restart fixed it.

This only happened once so far in this PC's life so I wont get too worried over it but just jotting it down.

Alright I am back and alas the problem has returned

So I was blue screen free for a bit less than a month and just an hour I got hit by two (one restart) while playing games.

I have uploaded a DMP and a bluescreenviewer text file.

I hope we can settle this once and for all :/

Edit- Hmm I cant upload dmp (invalid file error) so I uploaded the dmp onto mediafire with the bluescreen txt file as an attachment.

After a while, another BSOD has struck again! Darn.
