I have brand new system (Acer Aspire 3910,Pentium Dual Core CPU,
E5700 @ 3.00 GHZ, 4.0 GB Ram,64 bit, Windows 7 Home Premium

Yesterday, I was burning a CD and surfing at the same time. All of a sudden the BSOD, then system rebooted. I have no idea why the system crashed.

I caught something on the screen about a dump and UNPnP (which I had disabled earlier) and then the system rebooted. Attached is the minidump file.

I restored the UNPnP after the crash.

Can someone tell me what happened so I can avoid this.

iaStor.sys is the cause, the driver for Intel Matrix Storage Manager
Update it in safe mode with networking Intel® Driver Update Utility

I did the update utility but Intel Matrix Storage Manager was not one of those that showed as needing updating. The graphics and networking drivers were the ones that the driver update utility said needed updating.

I also checked Intel's site to see if I had the latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager....I do.

So far everything seems to be okay but I'd hate to see that bsod ever again!

I am now thinking it was the UnPnP turned off that somehow affected the drive that was burning a CD with ImgBurn software.

The Intel Matrix name was changed to Intel Rapid Storage which is why I couldn't find it...Once I discovered the name change, I installed it and no problems since.
