My laptop has recently started to BSOD. It seems to happen only when the computer goes to sleep and a user is logged on. But since I have to restart the computer I am not really sure what is going on.

I have updated the BIOS and chipset drivers, but don't know where less to look to troubleshoot.

Please help

hi

It seems like this is caused due to your wireless driver..

Follow this step first

Right click on Computer and select Manage.

-After Computer Management opens up, go to Device Manager.

-In Device Manager, expand the Network Adapters category.

-Right-click on “Intel (R) WiFi Link 1000 BGN” and select Properties.

-In Properties, go to the Power Management tab.

-Under the Power Management tab, make sure that “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.

- now reboot your system and check by doing sleep.

if that doesn't resolve the problem .. then you would need to update the driver to the latest.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the advice.

I verify the device settings and updated the wireless device driver. Got another BSOD today. I have attached the dumps. Very frustrating I must say.

bump

Still getting the BSODs. It is also strange that even if I have the laptop wired to the network it still wants to use a wireless connection.

Couldn't apply that hotfix, when I ran it, it said it wasn't applicable to my computer.

But here is one for you. Got a new laptop for xmas, it blue screens with same error. I even made all users administrators in case there was a permissions issue with changing the state of the wireless adapter.
