I'm running Windows seven since a few weeks without any problem. Except since two days my computer will restart upon several hours on sleep after a BSOD. Anyone could tell me why is it happening?

In advance thank you :)

Hello. You can update your Atheros lan driver to resolve your issues:

L1E60x64.sys

Thank you very much, I just did and rebooted right away :)
Now I have another problem and no idea if it's related : my logon screen change from ultimate to orion (and I sure did nothing for that) and aero is desactivated.
i'm quite clueless...

You're welcome very much.

Well, you also have lots of other older drivers. They should be updated as well:
Code:
adfs adfs.SYS Thu Jun 26 16:52:37 2008
snpstd3 snpstd3.sys Tue Mar 27 06:18:55 2007
ASACPI ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Sun Sep 27 20:12:06 2009
The ASACPI.sys can be updated by visiting your motherboard site and installing the latest ATK0110 or Probell utility.

The last one is the video card driver. Visit NVIDIA's website for the latest.

Thank you again :) I just did update the drivers and rebooted. I'll see after a sleep mode if it fixed the BSOD problem. Unfortunately my aero is still disabled and logon screen still blue (compared to the red one i had before)

Right click the desktop. Personalize. Then click the troubleshoot Aero link at the bottom and/or choose an Aero theme.

Also from an elevated command prompt, type the following and hit enter:

sfc /scannow

Just ran the aero troubleshooting and it tells me (in french though, therefore sorry if my translation isn't accurate) that the Windows Manager isn't enabled.

Also running atm the sfc scannow, will post the results as soon as I have them :)

That's because you downloaded and installed a "found" copy of Windows that is laced with malware and generally not good at all. Only install from Microsoft official sources. I'd get that copy of Windows off my machine as soon as possible if I were you, while formatting the HDD.

Well my boyfriend did upgraded my xp version so I could switch to a 64 bit system but I wasn't suspecting it would be flawed or totally unlegit actually. How could I check this?
I guess if it's the problem i'm good to be back to my xp.

In any case thanks for your answers :)

You can see if Windows is activated by hitting Windows Key+Pause.

If it is, ask your boyfriend if and how he cracked the activation process.

You're welcome.

Well apparently everything seems fine. So i'll ask him when he'll get back home.
I'm gonna abuse your patience again, but if I have to reinstall an OS i'd much rather continue to use Seven as I appreciate the speed and efficiency but I don't want to keep a malware running on my comp. Is there a way I can order and download it from microsoft so I can install it right away without any delay ?
