I'm having problems ever since I've gotten this computer.. I'm just now trying to find a solution for it though lol (had the computer for about 2 years now). Everything was bought brand new and put together by the customer support in Fry's.
Anyways, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with this thing, cause it doesn't always crash repeatedly at the same spot. its just randomly. sometimes going days without doing it. I'll always hear the last sound that it was playing before it crashed (like it's stuck on that one spot), then it's the blue screen of death. the bsod is super huge when it comes up, and when i look at it, all it seems to have is all these 00000's things with an x inbetween them at some point. but no other numbers but 000's .
When I used to have a nvida graphics card, it did the same thing, only more so. the ati graphics card is an onboard graphics card (Gigabyte with a 3d turbo thingy) but since i'm not used to the on board graphic settings, i've never messed with it. and i know it states it can be overclocked but i never tried (mainly because I dont understand what it does, and in my experience it is never a good thing to mess with something that i dont understand lol).
when the system starts back up it will bring up the do i want to start in safe mode, etc screen, then will tell me windows has recovered from a serious crash or something of that nature and ask me if i want to submit it for analysis and check for a solution... which i do. and nothing ever comes back.
Thanks in advanced for any help given!
EDIT: fyi, i stopped using the nvida due to not the crashes but it started sounded like a VERY loud fan sound (funny story on how i finally located the sound after thinking it was one of my big fans on the tower lol!). (I knew a lot more about the nvida graphics card... i dont know jack about this ati onboard one lol!)
Also the games i've been playing recently that it's happened on is SPORE, and MySims-full screen modes- and lowest graphic settings.
