Hello all. First time posting on these forums, as I haven't really had a need to inquire about computer problems till more recently.

I was watching Netflix last night, when I suddenly lost access to all windows functionality. The show continued to play for about a minute, before the computer went to the BSoD. I have not used Netflix at all since the incident, but I've also not seen the error again. Hopefully this may narrow things down a bit.

I had another incident where my computer froze up while watching Netflix. I was able to ctrl+alt+dlt, but attempting to open task manager did nothing. Had to hard-resent, but no BSoD.

I've attached the zipped crash information. I was unable to save a performance monitoring file as an html doc for some reason, so I hope this is suitable. Any insight would be great. Thanks all!

Please see basic system specs below:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.3GHZ 3.9GHz
16 GB RAM
nvidia geforece GTX 580
60 GB SSD holding windows
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM

Let me know if you guys need any other info. Thanks, again.

With only one DMP file it is almost impossible to tell if it is s one off.

I notice your avast which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Hi banes, welcome to 7F! :)

Do you like to play Star Wars The Old Republic?

If so, do you close it out before you run netflix?

I've seen two instances in you Dbg files where swtor.exe hung while your system was running.

This could trigger a cascade effect resulting in your BSODs.

EDIT:
Ken is this related to memory?
X64_0xF4_IOERR_IMAGE_wininit.exe

Thanks for the replies fellas. I shall get rid of avast... I was just using the software because i've heard good things, and the whole free thing definitely helps.

As for Starwars with Netflix: I'm am usually very good about not running multiple high stress processes at the same time. I have a new machine here, and I'm extremely cautious about what I do to it :). I really don't want anything to go wrong, so the BSoD attached here is with only Netflix running.

Let me know if you guys have any further information for me. What you've provided so far is very helpful.

Yes, but, Programs are notorious for not releasing once they have been in the arena, and then retired.

Check to make sure other resource hogs are down before you use another, then let us know how you fare.
