Hi,
Last night I noticed that my CPU usage was constantly at 100% despite not doing anything major on it, just using an internet browser and downloading a file. I attempted to clean up some of the unnecessary programs that are run on startup and nothing seemed to be a problem, I also then tried to scan for some spyware in thinking maybe that's what is killing the computers productivity. Anyway I ended up getting a BSOD as I was installing some software Avast antivirus antispyware I believe. I tried to reboot and ended up getting a second BSOD during the reboot.
Tried to go through with the Startup Repair on boot and it seemed to go well, tried to restore and thought I was done with it, but then another BSOD appeared and since then I've been stuck in a loop of sorts where it will try and do the Startup Repair, not be able to and then have a BSOD when I have chosen to restart or shut down after the failed attempt.

Safe Mode does seem to work, as I have been able to login and get onto the desktop without having any issues.

The BSOD message was:
STOP: 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF880077B581E, 0xFFFFF880021D47E8,0xFFFFF880021D4040)
Athihdw77.sys - Address FFFFF880077B581E base at FFFFF880077B1000, Datestamp 52b3b665

I apologise for not having the results of the Log Collector, but I cannot really get onto the system for now, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah during Safe Mode there seems to be no BSOD at all. I seem to have gotten things working normally now, but that was by restoring to a system restore point from about a week ago. Although it seems like its fine for now, I would like to know what may have been the issue that caused me such a problem, so I can avoid it, and ideally fix it because I don't feel so comfortable incase it decides to go BSOD crazy again.

I should point out, that I had tried System Restore about 3 times before and with no luck, so that's why i'm unsure if thats resolved the issue
