BSOD will not complete minidump!

About a month ago I had posted in this forum with some issues and was told to remove my atheros wireless usb driver.

I just now got a direct connection to a cable modem and have had nothing but trouble since.

I had one instance of a "system service exception" 000000...x3b bsod which would not complete the minidump.

After this occurred when I restarted the computer It would not load windows and required me to repair using the Win7 disc. It said there was some file corrupted. and the disc "repaired" it... while doing this I told the system to scan my memory on the next startup.

No mem errors were reported. I had also run memtest to about 800% 2 months ago. Still a possible culprit though

Now the system will load windows but if I play video on youtube or HULU on fullscreen it will almost immediately Crash.

Whats really strange is that half of the crashes wont even bluescreen. It will go to the gigabyte emblem screen and then load windows again.

When It does bluescreen MOST of the time it will not complete the minidump and it has the 000000...0x1E message. all the other codes are all 000000x0

Today it completed a minidump but the error message was different?

This has been going on since yesterday. Ive been busy studying and have been unable to figure anything else out. I updated my LAN driver and my vid drivers are current... the atheros usb is no longer connected to system.

I am seriously considering doing a clean install of windows.

This has been going on since yesterday. Ive been busy studying and have been unable to figure anything else out.

Please assist,

Mike

Another update:

I just got hulu to play a show for like 2 min, then crash again. No bsod just system lock with humming noise coming through speakers. Also Note that it does this when screen is maximized.

Tried to run Starcraft 2 to see if it is flash or some such and about 1.5 min into game it did the same thing, Again no Blue Screen just system Lock with noise.
Note* I am Currently running Furmark without lock up, also I was just searching the web for hrs before trying hulu again. Definite link to.... Audio???

Please Help,

Mike

It's seem you have driver issue.
Do system file checker
Uninstall speedfan and update your c-media driver

You may try to disable/uninstall ATI Catalyst Control Center for a while and see if the problem still occurs..

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff80002d7a9b2, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: fffff880031a1a48, Exception Record Address

I have removed speedfan and am updating cmedia driver.

I am reluctant to remove ccc because i have custom fan profile for my vid card. Plus I can run furmark so I do not think that is the issue. The massive amount of system lockups/restarts/BSODs is recent. All these things have been on my computer for over a month. Any other causes?

LOL, Dude I built my sytem myself and I have read lots on this forum about Debugging. I ran Memtest for 6.5 hours overnight, 0 errors. Have run Furmark extensively...

Removed Speedfan, Ran Scannow; no problems detected, updated Cmedia driver(although driver was the most recent).

So I have continuously repeated the same scenario that causes the crash multiple times. The system will always crash if I set Hulu to fullscreen but now it will not BSOD. It just restarts to Gigabyte emblem and reloads windows.

I am backing up some of my diagnostic and savegame files and will create a system restore point. Then I am going to enable driver verifier in an attempt to isolate one/some of the offending drivers.

Hope this works!
I will post back with results/minidumps.

All your drivers are in perfect shape now. The only one left is this one, but anyway I'm pretty sure it's not causing your bsod's so up to you to check it:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffff80002d5fc06, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002ae87a2, address which referenced memory

It shows a yellow mark next to UltraDMA CRC Errors. This means the drive is reading bad data from the platter. CRC errors mean you have emerging bad sectors. The yellow mark means not critical, so some people will tell you to ignore that, others will advise you changing the cable, and yet others will recommend zero writing the drive.

Are you still getting bsod's?

So I ran hdtune for a full scan of my HD and found zero errors. You told me what some ppl would do given the CRC errors but what would You do?

I have not hade a BSOD but my comp still locks up when I play fullscreen video of anykind. Ill try to get another bsod. The comp also just ran ChkDsk after the last lockup.

Is it possible that the HD errors are caused by the frequent hard boots and are not the true problem???

I dont see how the HD would be causing lockups only when I do fullscreen Vid... sounds fishy
