Update this driver that caused the bsod:

ptserial ptserial.sys Thu Dec 18 15:00:09 2003

These are also very old and need to be updated:

vmodem vmodem.sys Thu Dec 18 14:59:04 2003
vpctcom vpctcom.sys Thu Dec 18 14:57:23 2003
vvoice vvoice.sys Thu Dec 18 14:59:39 2003
LVUSBSta LVUSBSta.sys Wed Jan 19 14:11:16 2005

I also noticed you have an old video card driver. Visit NVIDIA's site to install the latest one.

Hi -

Yes, I agree - and found 7 total -
Code:
vpctcom.sys Thu Dec 18 14:57:23 2003 (3FE206A3)
vmodem.sys Thu Dec 18 14:59:04 2003 (3FE20708)
vvoice.sys Thu Dec 18 14:59:39 2003 (3FE2072B)
[COLOR=red]ptserial.sys Thu Dec 18 15:00:09 2003 (3FE20749)[/COLOR]
LVUSBSta.sys Wed Jan 19 14:11:16 2005 (41EEB0D4)
LV561AV.SYS Wed Jan 19 14:14:37 2005 (41EEB19D)

yk62x86.sys Mon Feb 23 09:44:18 2009 (49A2B642)

The one in the red is listed as the probable cause of the BSOD; the last - Marvel Ykon is fine for n ow, but keep an eye out for an update ti it soon.

It's a driver but I don't know what it is either. You'll have to Google for them and see where the searches take you just like anybody else would have to.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers

and rename it to ptserial.bak

Disable your modem in the device manager.

Then reboot.

---Or, update the driver instead of all that.
