Please remove Kaspersky Antivirus from your system:

http://support.kaspersky.com/1464

Please remove all Avast from your system also:

http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Please install Microsoft Security Essentials.
Install the following Anti virus once you have removed Kaspersky and Avast.
Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antiviruses/internet security software.

Please note: running two Anti-viruses alongside each other is unadvisable.

Please post back any progress or post another SF Diag log if you experience another crash.

Cheers

Hi Dave, I have done all 3 steps as you said. I was very surprised of Kaspersky in my PC, because I have only installed Avast.(Maybe Kaspersky was in a "package"with some other software). anyway thanks for you help and effort. I will post you if BSOD appears again. Cheers :)

Hi,
Sorry my bad :o I never meant to say Kaspersky...I meant to say:

Remove Daemon tools from your system as it is a known cause of BSOD's.

Please go to Start > computer > click on Uninstall or change a program and uninstall the program.
Then Reboot the system.

Once the program is uninstalled, download SPTD.exe from:

DuplexSecure - Downloads

Run the sptd and choose uninstall to remove the driver from your system:
then restart.

Also update: Cisco /Scientific-Atlanta WebSTAR 2000 series Cable Modem as it is very old:

Modems/Gateways - Support - Consumer - Cisco

Cheers

Don't shout...I've got a Hangover!
Well then I have a few questions:
I unistalled daemon tools as you said but:
1.)I downloaded SPTD.exe and it says something like "no SPTD version is installed", so is that ok?
2.)I tried to update Modem driver from Device Manager, but it says that this version (from 2004, I think)is up to date O.o
3.)In this link about modem driver, I don't see my modem...can you help? :)

Hi,

In answer to your questions:

1.) Yes, should be fine as it isnt on your system if SPTD cannot find it.
2.) What is the actual name of your modem? Is it Samsung? Or Webstar?
3.) This may not need updating as the driver maybe just an old driver, depending on your answer for number 2.) And I will post a fix for this upon your reply.

Good news on no BSOD's

Cheers

Dave

I'm pretty sure that my modem is not Samsung, when I go to device manager under Network Adapters, it says:"Scientific-Atlanta WebStar 2000 series cable Modem"...We will see if BSOD occurs, if not-problem solved ;)

Ok that makes a bit more sense to me now.

It seems Scientific Altlanta is now a part of Cisco, driver here:

Seems like your driver is for Win xp/ Win 2000, and I suspect that the driver for your device is not compatible with Windows 7.

Contact Cisco and ask them advice.

cheers

Hi Krune,

Good News  Please mark this thread "solved" if you feel your issue has been resolved :)

As for an alternative to daemon tools maybe something like Virtual CloneDrive, but im not to sure what its like as I dont use it.

Cheers

6 days passed, and BSOD showed up :(
p.s. in zip archive there are also older ("processed") dumps, I wasn't completely sure should I delete them or not.

Hi,

No problem. Same driver causing problems.

1: kd> lmvm Sacm2A
start end module name
9d414000 9d417800 Sacm2A T (no symbols)
Loaded symbol image file: Sacm2A.sys
Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Sacm2A.sys
Image name: Sacm2A.sys
Timestamp: Thu Jun 10 13:42:36 2004 (40C8573C)

This same driver is causing issues and is very old, related to:

Cisco /Scientific-Atlanta WebSTAR 2000 series Cable Modem

Which as you know we cant find updates for!!

Do you use Wireless or wired?
If you just use wireless you could always just disable the device in device manager.
And that will stop the BSOD's.

Or you can just disable that driver as I dont think it is compatible with Windows 7.
Please navigate to:

C:\windows > system32 > drivers and locate Sacm2A.sys
Right click and rename file to: Sacm2A.sys.old and save.

Reboot you machine.

You can also just delete file, but I would just leave it as .old for the time being
Also please try Windows updates, look in Optional updates and see if an update is there for your device.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers

Dave

Don't shout...I've got a Hangover!
I use cable modem, connected to pc via usb. I tried to update driver, but windows update says that this verzion iz up to date -.- I sent an e-mail to network company, which internet I use, so I'm waiting for their answer.
I know I'm boring, but I have one more question: If I rename driver to "Sacm2A.sys.old"-will it work? Will I remain connected to internet?
Thanks again, Krune :)

You could try renaming the file to Sacm2A.sys.old, reboot, and then test your connection,
if it stops your connection working simply rename it back to Sacm2A.sys and reboot.

Try that and let me know how it goes.

I will see see if I can find an alternative driver in the meantime

Maybe a new modem is in order, ask ISP to send you new one?

Cheers

I asked them what to do:they told me that my modem should be connected to PC via LAN cable (also they said that modem does'nt work with windows 7 when it is connected with usb cable-which they sent me in package).
Now I'm using Lan cable-no problems at all :)
"Case" solved, thank you Dave,
