Hello, all!
I have an 5 year old Gateway fx laptop with Win 7 x64. I rarely have problems with it and did a clean install about 2-3 years ago.
I have a 2-screen setup at work. My main screen is the laptop screen and the secondary screen connects with a VGA cable.
Recently, I started getting a BSOD when something happens with my dual screen configuration. Here are possible scenarios: I put computer to sleep with 2 screens on, it crashes; I plug in the second screen, it crashes; I unplug the second screen and switch windows, it crashes. It happens almost every time i put it to sleep, but doesn't happen if i simply lock it. Sometimes, however, if I leave it overnight, it will crash at night.
I keep all my drivers up to date with SlimDrivers, but that's about the extent of my upkeep.
Any help is appreciated!
