BSOD's caused by any activity or even inactivity.

The BSOD's seem to have no real pattern and can happen in any program at any time or even while the PC is just idle on the desktop, sometimes they happen frequently and sometimes less frequently.

It is for a friend's laptop who is not tech literate and asked me to try to get some help for them.

OK. I just saw a mismatch between your system and the files provided, so wanted to make sure since you never mentioned that in your first post.

The error seems to be related to the installed AVAST anti-malware software. I recommend uninstalling AVAST completely, and replacing it with free MSE.
