I recently built a new computer, about 4 days ago. Since then, while i was playing games (minecraft/DayZ) the computer crashed (once for each game). I used bluescreen view to see what was causing the problem and it was the same both times, hal.dll and ntoskrnl.exe. I looked around on the internet to find a solution and used memtest to test the memory and software from my hard drive manufacturer's site to test the hard drive, both came back with no issues. Afterward I intended on using the system repair tool from my windows 7 disc, but it says "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair". I then made a recovery disc and tried using it to no avail. What can I do now other than simply re-install Windows and hope that it doesn't happen again?
