Built-in digital tv tuner

Hi!
I just bought a new computer. it's PACKARD BELL OneTwo L A6524UK All-in-one PC with 23" Touchscreen. It says it has a built-in digital tv tuner. When I went to Windows Media Centre to watch tv, it says no tv tuner device detected. Does this mean I need to buy some accessory to watch tv on my pc?

You can check your device manager to see if a tuner is installed.
Post a snippet of your device manager.

It doesn't even have an optical drive, and there's no mention of a TV tuner.

Sounds like the driver isn't installed, can you post a screenshot of your device manager?

Well that's not the same one you said you had in your first post, you're right this one does say it has a tuner, have you tried windows update yet that may solve all your problems.

If not, where ever you see one of those :warn: right click on it and go to properties, then update driver.

Can you click on the bar that says Device description and change it to Hardware Ids and post that.

to try and find your drivers, if you want to try as well, we might get there faster.

I'm going to do some searching and post back any info I find.

The data here PCI Vendor and Device Lists reveals this to be from Animation Technologies Inc and their website is http://www.lifeview.com.tw

Is the device a USB TV Tuner, and if so, what is the exact model?

I'm not sure, I think its a tv card because at the back of the pc there's a aerial jack. I plugged in an antenna but my freeview doesn't work and the windows media centre remote also doesn't work. Every time i set up my tv signal an error message appear as shown below.
