Solved "Bumping" topics

I have seen a few topics where people have "bumped" their topics because it has become unanswered. Is "bumping" frowned upon or against the forum rules?

Hello Max,

Correct, bumping of posts by simply posting something like "bump" or some other junk to do so is not allowed since it only junks up the thread. If you see any, please click on the report icon at the top right of the post so that we can remove it faster.

However, if the thread has not been answered in at least 24 hours, then it is fine for the OP to post a reply with additional information to bump the thread and help get themselves a solution though.
