I'll try, but it's not going to work. I've tried every program that's been suggested and haven't gotten any of them to work. They'll convert the file, but when I play them, the audio is out of sync....just like it always is with every other program. Can I just upload the file somewhere and then someone on here who know what they're doing can convert it to an AVI file capable of being burned onto a dvd with corrected audio ? I'm getting sick and tired of trying dozens of program and not getting a correct file. I need a program that will sync the audio. Is that too much to ask ?

Hello !!

I usually use Super Converter to convert files from different format. It's free and it works pretty well. I guess it's best to convert the .MOV file to .VOB file the use Windows DVD Maker and burn it to a disk. Just a suggestion.

OK when you encoded which format you encoded to ?? Was it AVI or VOB ?? If it was VOB try to encode into AVI and see if that works. Don't change any settings in the Converter before converting like audio quality or video quality FPS etc. that might mess things up. What ever the default it stick with that one.

The less you convert the mov file, the better the video quality will be. Do you really need to make a DVD file out of it? Then a software like DVD Flick or AVStoDVD will help to convert the video/audio into a compatible DVD video, and enable you making menues (authoring).

In the same time, many DVD players can nowadays play avi files (Divx/Xvid) out of the box. So, can simply convert the file and burn it on a DVD with any burning program (I like Imgburn).

Your issue with audio out of sync is probably related to the wierd audio format in the mov file, that some video converters were not able to digest well.
Can you play the mov file without any problems on your PC? What software you use?
In any case, you could install Windows 7 Codec Pack and only then give it a try.

I got tired of it and deleted the mov file. Not one single program I tried would sync the sound. Here's the story. I downloaded the file and didn't think that I could burn a dvd of the original file so I saved it to a mov file. The audio was out of sync so I separated the audio into a file by its self, deleted the audio from the video and scaled the audio to the picture. This worked....when I watched the mov file. But if I tried the file in any program other than Quicktime, the audio was again out of sync. So, I downloaded program after program, but none of them worked. They all would convert the file to an avi or other dvd burnable format, but the audio would be out of sync. No matter what settings I used, the audio was always out of sync. Finally, I was able to find the movie already in an avi format....which actually works all the way through. DVD Flick nor AVStoDVD worked, either. I wish they had.
