C Boot is Corrupt ; Run Chdsk Utility

Hello Guys. I'm new to the forum.

First of all I'm having a problem on my computer that runs on window 7x64.
After booting the system it says that Boot MGR is missing Press Alt+Ctr+Del to restart.

I tried to reinstall the Windows from the Dvd but i'm unable to install any

I did some research on this and found some solutions and tutorials! I was told that I need to click on Repair on Computer after inserting the disc and then system repair and stuff.

When i did this it shows another error that C boot is corrupt; Run Chdsk Utility. I tried to do the stuff with command prompt also but it looks like nothing is working for me.

Could anyone help me in this ? I would be very thankful of him. Thanks.

Boot to the Win 7 DVD...hit F8 and select Advanced boot Options...select repair install...
Do NOT interrupt it...even if it seems to hang.

A re-install is kinda a bad idea as all your data and apps will be gone...but youl'd have a clean Win7 install...

Boot into System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair a few times to see if it will automate Disk Check if needed.

If not boot back into the Options list, open a Command Line, run the commands given for http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html in Option Two.

If this fails test the HD with the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Report back results of each.

Thanks for the replies guys! But my dad had already given my laptop to the repair man. I hope it won't cost much.
