Solved c7280 win 7 scan

I am just tired. I tried every possible means to scan a photo. It starts to scan onto my computer and stops with only a partial picture and sounds like end of scanning but it jams.

I have no problem with scanning documents but any Photos, No way jose.

Please can someone help me. I am at the end of my teether.

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

There are compatibility issues between your scanner and Windows 7.

My advice would be to disconnect your scanner, uninstall any scanner driver you have installed, and then go to HP Support and download the full driver version.

Before you install it, right-click the installer and choose Compatibility Mode for Windows Vista SP1, let the driver install, and then restart your computer.

Connect your scanner and you should be good to go.

Thank you immensely for your reply. I actually had done what you said. I now realise the scanner cannot accept the saturated green colour of the picture I was trying to scan. It is Ok to photocopy the photo but not to scan onto the computer to save the picture. I guess I should have tried a multicoloured photograph rather than just a photo with green colours as he dominant colour.
