Can I create a shortcut to change screen resolution?

I have my main video out hooked to a switch which either goes to my first monitor, or my 1080 plasma tv... I'm wondering if theres a way I can create a shortcut to swap monitor resolutions with one click? When I'm using the monitor I need 1680x1050, but I need 1920x1080 for the plasma... Can I create a shortcut to change the setting in the registry or some other sort of trick? Ideally I don't want extra programs running all the time for this simple task...

Thanks I saw that, however it is not what I'm looking for... I'm looking to double click the icon that says 1920x1080, or the one that says 1680x1050, and having it set the resolution accordingly, not just a shortcut to the prompt for it, I could just right click on the desktop and go to change resolution. I think 1920x1080 isn't always shown in my prompt I had to use nvidia control panel to change it, once I changed to it it was there though... The reason being, once I switch to my tv, the tv is a good distance from the couch and I have a hard time reading the menus and so on.

Set screen res, colours and refresh rate from shortcuts and scripts

It's a command line program you can easily use to set desired resolution AND refresh rate among other things by making a simple windows shortcut to it.

Obviously original poster is long gone, but, this was the 2nd result in a google search, so, I decided to do the Interwebs a solid.
