Solved Can I safely remove SynTPEnh.exe & RAVCpl64.exe -s from startup?

I found SynTPEnh.exe & RAVCpl64.exe -s in my startup, using Ccleaner. Can I safely remove these startup entries?


May I also safely un-tick the Google Update Service, service. The Macrium reflect Image Mountaing Service, service. And the Team viewers 6, service?

Are you talking about the startup tab in msconfig?

Your PC should start fine with all of them removed.

But there might be a very few that would be wise to keep checked. Like antivirus.

The others will generally start when they are needed.

You can google the entries and find out what they do.

I'd uncheck most of them and run for a few hours or days and see if you run into problems.

But the main reason people uncheck them is because of slow boot times or because they want to reclaim some RAM. You certainly don't need 20 things checked in there.

Yes I am talking about the msconfig startup, although it's the same as the Ccleaner list too.

I have those 2 entries + my antivirus, I will leave that one as you said

I would simply "disable" not delete it in ccleaner start-up and see what happens. This start-up is only in laptops. If u disable it i think it will only make your touchpad lesser sensitive. If it doesnot make a difference delete it.

Google these files to find out what they are: The first one provides extra features on the SYnaptics touch pad if they're offered like Tap to Click and Scrolling. I do not like the way the scrolling feature works so I disable it at install.

The second listing is Realtek Audio control panel, not needed unless you have ventured in there to make special settings - something I've found only the most avid home theater system users will do.

I only allow AV and gadgets in my startup to keep out the freeloaders on RAM/CPU and Startup. Others want a messenger to be started with the OS. TeamViewer only needs to start if you need to sign back remotely in after a restart - I set it to do so from the remote end if I need it.
