Solved Can not solve this one

Today I purchest a ASUS 560 DC and ANTEC 750w earthwatts, the thing I am having trouble with is that I hear the 1 beep on the POST and that's fine, however I get a contentious beep after that.... everything works fine I can boot into windows I installed the drivers did the windows experience thing boosted my score no problem.

Thing I have tried, resetting everything CPU, RAM, GPU, checked that the PCI-E power is connected (I need 2x6pins both are running off a different cable), if I take the RAM out it gives me the usual beep code.

I have also heard that its a GPU mobo beep code error, but the only thing I can think of the power is not connected to the GPU but it is.

Do you mean a continuous beep?

Your mobo comes with these beep codes:

1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power error

Any idea which one it is?

As I sead before I get passed POST fine with 1 beep like normal then the Continuous (endless beep there is no patten) just keeps going.

re-seat the graphics card.

Take the side off and make sure that the beep is coming from the speaker and not from one of your fans.

Already tried a my previous graphic card no go the beeping is still there and the beeping is coming from the PC speaker.

UPDATE: Just blew the PCI-E and RAM shots out with the compressor and it seems to work fine atm, but the way 70C is too high for a Intel CPU right?

No.... some are ok up to 90% when on load... If that is the temp whilst IDLE... it is too hot.

Idle is 30-35c but at load the temp gets up to 70-74c

If that is a stable temp and it doesn't spike... + you checked airflow/fans etc.. then I wouldn't worry about it.

You have a Q6600 quad core and should run at 60c max, you need to look at your case and CPU cooling setup.

Its all good I have already checked everything, I was just wondering about the temps, but all good I'm going to get some AS5 and paste it on and see how it goes.

Don't Paste it on, it needs to be applied in a thin coat.

It's OK its not the first time I have got AS5 before, but thank you anyway.

UPDATE: all good got some thermal paste fromt he shop and temps are now 30-35c idel and 40-45c laod so all good now.
