Solved can only make new folders in C: drive?

hi, i just reinstalled windows7 and right now, i can only make new folders in C drive, not txt, office document or any other files i can make if i go to other partition and right click-> new.
i dont remember changing any new settings or anything though, i used to be able to do this before i reinstall

Hello RoronoaDSanji,

This is part of a security feature in Windows 7 to prevent items from being saved directly to the system drive ( C: drive). That is why you are able to see the other New items in other nonsystem drive letters.

As a workaround, you are able to copy/move anything from within your user folders, or saved to your user folders first, to the system drive. For example, you could save (from download) or create a new txt file on your desktop, then be able to move it to the C: drive.

hi brink, although this method does work, but it is very annoying to do so much extra step

the problem is that i could do it before the first and second time i install windows 7, but not this time. by security feature, did you mean uac? because i always had it disable the first 2 time i use win7, this time i try disabling it, but still not help.
