cannot activate Access 2003

HI all
i have been directed here by the lovely people at Community feedback,
I got a new laptop in january this yr it`s a 64 bit windows 7 Home Premium, i have installed Access 2003 on it and i havent been able to activate it each time i do i get a mesage saying that there are no more activations left and i have to phone up microsoft to get a new one, I have found out from their forums that access does nto run out of activations so i am guessing the problem is related to windows 7 somehow.
I want to upgrade it to 2007 but cant untill i have this activated so your help gratefully appreciated

The popup says call Microsoft telephone activation if you believe it to be an error. Have you done that?

If you have a personal use license, you can only install Office on one computer at a time. If you're moving to a new computer, uninstall from your old computer and call telephone activation to tell them you're moving your installation to a new computer.

I'm afraid there's no workaround for activation. Keep trying the number. They should get you up and running.

How many different systems have you activated this product on? You should be able to activate it as many times as you wish on a single system. That will count as a single installation activation wise. If the EULA permits you to install this software on more than one system at the same time using the same product key, then providing you don't exceed the number of machines permitted by the license, you can install and activate on those machines without a problem.

If the above doesn't apply to you, then you will need to call the number provided and explain the situation to the operator. Remember that his/her decision will be final and that we cannot do anything about it here if it is not favourable to you.

It says "you may install this on one computer and one portable device, so it`s on my vista PC and Win 7 laptop

Then if you're the original owner and it's currently only been activated on your desktop PC, phone activation should be able to activate your laptop for you.
