Yesterday I started having a problem on my laptop where it would not find any wireless connections, despite the wireless router being turned on and other devices which use the wireless router were working fine (iPod Touch, PS3, etc.). I have had my laptop for around 2-3 months and I have had absolutely no problems with linking it up to my router before this point.

Basically, even when the wireless router is turned on, when I click on the wireless section in the taskbar, it always displays the message 'no connections are available', whereas before it could not only find my connection but could also detect other people's wireless networks as well. Now it comes up with nothing each time.

What's going on?

Hopefully someone can provide a solution to my problem...

Thanks in advance for your reply.

your symptoms sound like your wireless is now turned off or there is a hardware failure possibly the internal Ariel come loose etc , I would test by holding it next to your router and see if it detects the wifi ?

has itunes recently updated and or any other software significantly changed ?

what antivirus do you use ?

have you tried uninstalling bonjour from your control panel ?

I managed to figure out the problem.... the wireless switch on the front of the laptop had been accidentally switched off, so I switched it back on and now everything is working fine again. But thanks anyway for your help! :)
