On my Windows 7 machine, the folder C;\$$PendingFiles appeared about a week ago. This folder has three files in it, all size 0 bytes.
Once I saw the folder, I figured I could delete it, but that was not possible. I then tried running CMD as the Administrator, deleting from there, but that didn't work.
The next thing I tried was to boot into Safe mode - command prompt, and delete from there. However, the file is not visible and I was unable to delete it from there. I then rebooted, logged in as the Administrator and ran ATTRIB from the command prompt, to make the folder visible, but was told 'Access denied'.
What on earth must I do to delete this folder?
