cannot find ethernet controller driver

Hi. My pc is an Advent DT1404. Windows 7 home premium 64 bit.
Norton security suite.
CPU is Intel(R) Pentium(R) [email protected].
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics.
Motherboard: Foxconn H61MXL/H61MXL-K.
In device properties it says for ethernet controller: no driver for this device. Code 28.
Location for device is given as: PCI slot1(pci bus 2. device 0. function 0.)
I have no idea what any of this means.I've read elsewhere that I need a chipset driver before controller driver. When I try to access Intel site I have no idea which drivers to download.
The pc is playing up. it freezes very often and the mouse works erratically.
Can anyone help me?

You download the onboard lan drive for your Foxconn H61MXL/H61MXL-K.

thank you theog. Downloaded lan driver but did not know what to do with it.Opened it.Got windows 7 troubleshooter, I think it was, to look for ethernet controller driver but the message was that no driver could be found. went back and downloaded chipset driver after reading that it has to be done first. but again did not know what to do with it. not knowing what else to do i just opened it. Should I put the driver files in a folder? do I really need the chipset driver? I'd be very grateful for any advice.
