I have nvidia 9100 and an old mag CRT monitor. It does 1280X1024. However the best I can get is 1024X768 on windows 7. I tried adding 1280X1024 as a resolution and I got mode test failed or something like that. I tried 1280X800 and it allowed me to change it, but the display was almost like an octogon. I changed it back to 1024X768.
Any way to fix this? I could not find any updated drivers for my monitor.

Thanks

Hi Gt,

Other than replacing your monitor theres not much you can do because modern drivers/graphics cards rely on EDID infomation being sent from the monitor.

If your graphics card has a DVI port and you have a DVI 2 VGA adapter you can follow this method I posted here for overriding the EDID settings ;)

OK I thought that may be the case. New monitor is already on the way.
Thanks!
