Hey to both of you,

I have tried both, with no luck.

Gregrocker, that is for vista, (I'm guessing that is the reason why it won't work, see attachment)
I have tired finding a similar solution for window 7, but no luck.

Josh,
That one i have already tired. The WIFI icon is enabled. :(

Thank you so far.

Almost all Vista drivers and fixes work for Win7 too.

Can you start the Wifi manually using the Fkey combination? If so follow the steps to see if they help.

Another result says the switch is where the lid latch normally is.

Hey to the both of you,

It works!

The solution was Launch Manager. I contacted Fujitsu Siemens directly and I got the answer to install the Launch Manager for vista. And it works.

Now when I press FUNKTION F1 a menu opens where I can choose to enable /disable WIFI.

Thank you for your help! :D:)

The link I got: Technical Support pages from Fujitsu

A laptop without a WiFi switch... that's a first for me

It sounds similar to the fix suggested in Post 16, but that one copies the launcher's link into your Startup folder so it starts with Windows.

You dismissed that step because you said it was for Vista, but the Fujitsu launcher is also labeled for Vista. Again, I have told you that most Vista solutions work on Win7.

So if you get tired of having to launch wireless every time you start up you can try putting it's launcher's .exe in the Startup folder as suggested in post 16. I've never heard of any laptop where wireless must be launched each time it starts, nor would it be tolerable.
