Without any change, when I started Outlook I get the following "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window.". I am in WIndows 7 Pro 64 bit with Office Pro 2007, and I have ZOne ALarm. No virus reported. I have run the Office repiar twice, I have tried to run system restore three time and it fails each time and will not show me any dates prior to two days ago. I searched MS Web Site for the error message and found nothing.

Does anybody have a suggestion please? BTW, THANKS to all who helped with the XEROX PRINTER NOT PRINTING - XEROX is working on a fix for the 6180.

That's the same message that I'm getting. It started about a week ago for no apparent reason. Office diagnostics revealed nothing. Fortunately, I've also got Live Mail installed so I am at present using that. I'll see what happens if I uninstall and reinstall Office 2007 later.

Hi and welcome

Is there any error code displayed? can you type eventvwr in search go to the windows logs>application tab. Look for errors (they have red in the left column) that have app hang, app crash, or outlook in them. when you find them (there is a lot of data) use the build in snipping tool to make a screen shot and upload it to us using the attachment icon. See pics

Let us know

Problem fixed

When or if you get the problem I described, use the following command:
"outlook /resetnavpane" and this fixes the problem I have described above!

Note - reinstalling doesn't fix anything or repairing doesn't fix anything. Apparently the designers didn't take a couple of things into consideration but did provide a way to fix their mistakes. Thanks to all for your help!
