I am new to this forum so I'm sorry if this is posted under the wrong topic.

Error 0x8007277a: The Requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized.

I tried to run Windows Update and it would not open. I then checked services.msc and it wasn't running, when I click 'Start' I get the error code.

Ran SFC.exe and got this result: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

Here is what the log shows after running findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log: (I could not insert the log here, because it made this post too long.) I'm not sure where to post it. ?.

I have no idea what to do with this information. Please Help!
I also have the entire CBS.log if needed.
My computer cannot seem to communicate with Microsoft at all. Internet works as well as all of my programs that I use - mostly Adobe CC.
I understand this is a long thread, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I also get this message below when I ran FixIt. I couldn't get fixit to run, I had to download a script.

Hello again. I believe I fixed the problem. I saw another thread on here that was similar to my problem. (I couldn't find it before I created this one). It suggested that there could be an issue with winsock and showed me how to reset it.
Open cmd in elevation
type: netsh winsock reset hit enter
type: netsh int ipv4 reset hit enter
type: netsh int ipv6 reset hit enter

I then restarted my computer and everything worked.
He had a note that said I may need to run Network Diagnostics afterwards to "repair" my connection. I did this as well. My computer restarted and then my IE11 would only display a blank page. I then went into features and turned IE11 off. I restarted my computer again in which it did 22 updates for some reason. Then it configured windows. After all of this I went back to features and turned IE11 back on, and now it seems to work. I'm not completely sure everything has been fixed, but I can use the Windows Update feature now and my IE11 works. I thank you for your time and help. If this turns out not to work, I will run system update readiness tool. Thanks again

I'm glad you found something that worked! I would definitely run another sfc scan just to be sure you got everything squared away.
